Girlfriend has had an exhausting day so I volunteered to make dinner while she soaks in the tub. We're having patty melts and French fries.
How is this car related? The road leading to the farmers market where we got the potatoes is twisty as hell and a blast to drive on.

I bought a deep fat fryer for making fries. An excellent buy, although my arteries probably disagree.

We'd call them 'rustic chips' here as the skin is still on. We do use the term French fries for very thin cut chips and steak cut for large cut chips.

But to me, bigger cuts are chips and the thin cuts are fries. I'm not turning 'Murican quite yet.

War of 1812? You mean the one that ended in pretty much a draw... Except for the burning of Washington and the White House?

And the burning of buildings in York. It ain't a win if either side can't claim victory.
